San Francisco: Personal information of millions of celebrities and influencers stands unprotected on Instagram in a large database that has been traced to Mumbai-based amicable media selling organisation Chtrbox, TechCrunch reported on Monday.
The database containing 49 million annals of several high-profile influencers, including distinguished food bloggers, celebrities and other amicable media influencers were found to be leaked online.
“Each record contained open data, including bio, form picture, series of supporters they have, plcae and private hit information,” a news claimed.
“Shortly after we reached out, Chtrbox pulled a database offline,” a news added.
Security researcher Anurag Sen detected a database and alerted TechCrunch.
“We traced a database behind to Mumbai-based amicable media selling organisation Chtrbox, that pays influencers to post sponsored calm on their accounts,” pronounced a report.
Facebook, that owns Instagram, pronounced it was questioning into a matter.
