Liverpool brazen Sadio Mane says he will not change his character of play, notwithstanding manager Jürgen Klopp carrying to urge him from diving accusations.
Mane, 27, was cautioned in a 37th notation of Liverpool’s 2-1 win over Aston Villa on Saturday.
Manchester City trainer Pep Guardiola afterwards seemed to advise some Liverpool players will dive to win games.
“I will never change a approach I’m personification or a approach I’m doing my things,” he said.
“There was hit [at Villa] for sure. Maybe it was not a chastisement and he didn’t give it, and he gave me a yellow card. To be honest we don’t have any problem about it.”
Reds trainer Klopp shielded a Senegal general after his engagement saying: “Sadio is not a diver. There was a conditions in a Aston Villa diversion where he got hit and went down, maybe it was not a chastisement though there was contact. It’s not as if he jumped over a leg and went down.”
Mane joked that if a possibility came again he would dive for a penalty.
He said: “If a ‘dive’ will give me a chastisement afterwards we will do it. Why not? But what Jürgen pronounced is correct. we do not dive.”
